Mike Greci

Mike Greci had a long, successful career in racing that started back in the mid-1970’s. As car owner & crew chief, he tabbed Ray Miller to drive his “No-Style Racing” #01 Modified at Stafford Speedway, Thompson Speedway and Riverside Park Speedway. Among their many victories together included the 1981 Thompson 300 and 3 consecutive Ferrara 100‘s at Stafford (1980-1982).

Greci broke into the NASCAR Busch North Series in 1990 with Mike McLaughlin driving his Coors Extra Gold #51, winning 4 times at New Hampshire Speedway as well as victories at Thompson, Stafford and Holland Speedway (NY). Mike Stefanik took over as his driver in 1996 with Burnham Boilers as their sponsor and they’d go on to win back-to-back series championships, the last of which Greci was also the crew chief.

Greci moved south in 1999 to become crew chief for Andy Santerre on the Busch Series. They would win at Pikes Peak Raceway after Santerre came back from season opening injury. Greci would remain a crew chief in the series through 2014, working drivers like Martin Truex Jr, Ryan Truex, Kerry Earnhardt, Paul Menard and Danica Patrick. He also spent 10 races on the pit box for Martin at DEI in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2008.

Greci moved to Michael Waltrip Racing in 2009 and won back-to-back K&N East Series championships as crew chief with Ryan Truex behind the wheel, winning 5 times. Brett Moffit took over in 2011 and they scored 3 more wins on the series.

Greci continued his championship pedigree when he took over as Competition Director at Turner-Scott Motorsports, where they won 4 consecutive K&N East Series championships with 4 different drivers: Dylan Kwasniewski (2013), Ben Rhodes (2014), William Byron (2015) and Justin Haley (2016). As General Manager at Hatton Racing Enterprises, Brett Moffitt won the NASCAR Truck Series Championship in 2018. The team then won 8 races with Austin Hill driving from 2019-2021.

Greci has been General Manager at Spire Motorsports since 2022 with Cup Series drivers Corey Lajoie, Zane Smith and Carson ocevar and NASCAR Truck Series drivers Rajah Caruth and Chase Purdy.
