Dwight Jarvis

A native of Ascutney, VT, Dwight Jarvis was a dominant competitor at the northern New England short tracks. Starting at Claremont Speedway in 1972, he would collect 63 victories and 13 track championships from 1989-2003.

He also competed at Monadnock Speedway starting in 1973 when he won Rookie of the Year honors. In 1975, he had a 10 win season. He would win 47 times and earn 5 championships at the Mad Dog during his career.

Late in his career, he began competing on the upstart Modified Racing Series and won the 2006 series championship.

Jarvis’ longevity has given him a unique distinction for having made starts in the Yankee All-Star League, NASCAR Modified Tour, Modified Racing Series and Tri-Track Series during his career.
