Dick Houlihan first started racing at just 15 years old back in 1972 at the old Lakeville Speedway in MA.
He was a Pro Stock Champion at Thompson Speedway in 1996 and at Seekonk Speedway in 2002 & 2003. He was also a prolific Mini-Modified/Pro-4 Modified racer with 60 wins in the 4-cylinder open wheelers during his career.
Houlihan has 48 wins at Seekonk Speedway and 20 wins at Thompson Speedway. During his career, he also won races at Riverside Park Speedway, Westboro Speedway, Stafford Speedway, Lee USA Speedway, Waterford Speedbowl, Star Speedway, Claremont Speedway and Monadnock Speedway. Outside of New England, he also won at Islip Speedway, New Egypt Speedway, Shangri-La Speedway, Chatham Speedway and Cayuga Speedway in Canada.
Dick Houlihan was a fierce competitor, was known for always taking care of equipment and won numerous Most Popular Driver awards over the years. He retired in 2017 after 45 years of competition.
