Bill Randall at Langhorne Speedway

Bill Randall competed in open cockpit cars for 4 decades, beginning in the 1930’s. In the post WWII years, he competed on the Bay State Midget Racing Association and United Car Owners Association (UCOA) circuits. His first win came in a midget at Thompson Speedway in 1946.

Randall was a winner in AAA, USAC and ARDC sanctions of midget racing, driving cars like the Stone #3, the MacLeod #21 and the Rose #38. He won at tracks like Trenton, Reading, Williams Grove, Plainville Stadium, Oswego Speedway and Port Royal. He was the 1957 USAC Eastern Sprint Car Champion.

In July of 1963, Randall got into an accident with Len Thrall and Bert Brooks on the first lap of a race at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT. Sadly, he died from those injuries 4 days later.
