Joe Rosenfield

Competitor
CLASS OF 2006

Joe Rosenfield was one of the best on the short tracks of southern New England in the 1950’s. He began his racing career at Norwood Arena in 1951. In 1954, while competing in the Bomber class, he won the first race of his career.

But it was at Seekonk Speedway where he really came into his own. He has 24 career wins at the Cement Palace. He eventually became the track’s first 3-time champion winning the Modified title in three consecutive seasons (1960, 1961, 1962). He then became the first 4-time champion with a another title in 1964.

He also traveled to other tracks in southern New England, scoring wins at both Lonsdale Speedway and the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
