Monaco Modifieds Tri-Track Series
The series was founded by Dick Williams & Jim Schaefer as the Tri-Track Open Modified Series in 2014 as a trio of races with high paying purses. The original 3 tracks were Lee USA Speedway, Star Speedway and Seekonk Speedway.
Star Speedway’s SBM 125 and Seekonk’s Open Wheel Wednesday were already-established open competition modified events that were incorporated into the Tri-Track Series’ schedule. Seekonk Speedway has hosted the most events (14) for the series.
Williams & Shaefer stepped away from the series in 2019, which is now under the leadership of former Modified car owners Wayne Darling & Ed Bennett. The series continues to offer high purses and attracts huge car counts to a majority of their events.
Matt Hirschman has been the dominate driver of the series. He is a 9-time series champion and has won a record 22 MMTTS races, including at least once in each season of the series and a clean sweep of all 4 events on the 2017 schedule. Chase Dowling has won 6 races, Ron Silk has won 4 times. Les Hinckley III has finished runner-up 7 different times but has yet to visit victory lane.
