Eddie Eng was a native of Nashua, NH who won his first race at the age of 16. Once he turned professional moved down south, he finished 10th in the inaugural stock car race held at Daytona Beach in 1936. He swept both the Florida Midget and Stock Car Championships in 1938.

He chose to continue racing midgets and returned to New England to do so in 1939. He would win the Fall River Mid-Season Championship, the 1939 New England Midget Association Championship and the 1940 Yankee Midget Association Championship.

He won races at midget tracks such as Alumni, Athol, Fall River, The Pines, Riverside Park, Sturbridge and Topsfield.

After retiring from racing competitively, he became a flagman for many years. Eddie Eng passed away in 1952.
