Over the next 14 years he campaigned all over New England on dirt and asphalt tracks. He won dozens of features at numerous facilities and earned track championships at Claremont Speedway, Safford Park Speedway in Keene, NH and the 1961 Sportsman Coupe Championship at Thunder Road Speedway. His ten victories in 18 starts in 1961, including five in a row driving for George Barber, remains one of the greatest seasons ever at Thunder Road. He retired soon after.
