Mike Rowe of Lewiston is Maine’s winningest driver and the undisputed king of Oxford Plains Speedway, where he scored over 150 wins, best in track history. Mike was also a 7-time Pro Stock Champion at Oxford (1976, 1978-1981, 1989-1990). He competed in almost every one of the first 50 Oxford 250 races, scoring three victories in 1984, 1997 and 2005.

He captured the 1991 Pro Stock Championship at Wiscasset Speedway. At Beech Ridge Speedway, where he is also the career wins leader, Rowe won Pro Series Championships in 2009 and again in 2013.

Rowe was the 1994 American-Canadian Tour Pro Stock Champion and has 5 career wins on the circuit plus 4 wins on the old NASCAR North Tour from 1982-1985. Rowe also ran the Busch North Series from 1987-1992 scoring 8 career wins and a runner-up finish to the championship in 1990.

In 1999, Rowe was the Northeast Pro Stock Association Champion. On the Pro All Star Series (PASS), Rowe was the 2006 South Region Champion and the 2015 North Region Champion.

During his long career that started in Oxford’s Charger class in 1958, Rowe has also visited victory lane at Thunder Road Speedbowl, Airborne Speedway, Canaan USA Speedway, Lee USA Speedway, Seekonk Speedway and Monadnock Speedway plus Canadian tracks Sanair Super Speedway in Saint-Pie, Quebec and Scotia Speedworld in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
