Jamie Aube

Competitor
CLASS OF 2018

Jamie Aube got his start racing at Catamount Stadium and Thunder Road Speed Bowl tracks in northern Vermont in the mid-1970’s, scoring wins at both tracks.

He was a full-time competitor on the NASCAR North Late Model Tour for most of its existence (1979-1985), earning a win at his home track Catamount in 1983 Vermont Governor’s Cup 100 lapper.

He won the 1986 New England 300 on the American-Canadian Tour (ACT). Aube has 7 career wins in that series. He was also a 2-time winner of the prestigious Oxford 250 (1987, 1989). The 1987 win was in a combination Busch Grand National/Busch North Series event, making Aube the first Vermont native to win on the BGN (now Xfinity Series).

Aube is probably best known as a 3-time NASCAR Busch North Series Champion (1988-1990). He won 9 races and competed regularly in the series into 2000’s.

Other New England tracks where Aube won races include Monadnock Speedway, Star Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Riverside Park Speedway in Agawam, MA.
