Given the nickname “Vinny Who?” by modified legend Richie Evans for his long & unusual last name, Vinny Annarummo Jr was one of the best to ever compete at Seekonk Speedway. He earned a total of 6 track championships at ‘The Cement Palace’: 1973 in the Class B Late Model Cadets and 5 Pro Stock Championships in 1990, 1992, 1993, 2004 and 2005.

After over 30 years of success in fendered cars, Vinny scored his career Modified victory in 2007. On June 29th of that year, he won the 3rd annual Open Wheel Wednesday modified race against the region’s biggest stars and took home a $10,000 winner’s purse.

Outside of his home track, he won a race at Stafford Speedway in 1984 and also won at Lee USA Speedway’s annual Octoberfest.

Vinny was voted into the Seekonk Speedway Wall of Fame in 2018. He passed away on February 6, 2024.
